How a girl who was bullied for being extremely thin and wearing braces became one of the Hollywood’s highest paid actress multiple times and most admired woman globally. With high cheekbones and a dazzling smile no one can resist the charm of Angelina Jolie . She is one of the most influential people in the American entertainment industry . Her humanitarian efforts, various nominations for awards, and controversies with past partners, has always kept her in limelight.

Angelina Jolie Voight, was born on 4 june, 1975 in Los Angeles California. Her mother raised her and her brother and provided them all the necessities of life . Angelina did training in acting at a theare . During her childhood, She was severely bullied for being thin at Beverly hills high schol . She was surrounded by bullies and extreme loneliness that undermined her confidence which led to unsuccessful attempts in modelling . She then transformed herself into a punk who used to indulge into aggressive simulations. She made a statement remembering her those days and said "I am still at heart—and always will be—just a punk kid with tattoos." As a teen girl , she was emotionally disassociated with everyone . Her teenage years were full of self-harming activities and tattoos. She was even admitted to a psychiatric ward because she attempted to end her life and became accustomed to durgs . She felt left out of place and never good enough to fit in. Eventually she realised that there is a beauty in being different.

In her starting days ,she gave many auditions but failed miserably . However , she did a movie “hackers” which gave her career a breakthrough. The audience were captured by her charm . She won awards for her performances and gained wide recognition. She later starred opposite witth Brad Pitt . The film became her highest grossing live action for a decade . Eventually, she became the higgest paid actress of Hollywood . After her mother’s demise , she made her first debut as a director .

Then she became a humanitarian . She advocated for children educaton , providing aid to vulnerable children , women’s rights and prevention of sexual assaults / domestic violence/ stalking against them . She funded various schools and made efforts for community development . She was against the war as it deprived children from their rights and privilages . Her steps toward sensitive yet crucial topics gave her humanitarian work a wide recognition . She was awarded with several awards for her work .

Her personal life was filled with ups and downs and led to divorce 3 times. She identified herself as bisexual as she had romantic affairs with both men and women . She adopted 3 children and the remaining 3 were her biological children with actor Brad Pitt . In an issue of magazine she said that she never thought she would have children or be in love. Certain things feels like fairy tale. She underwent a mastectomy to reduce the risk of breast cancer . She urged women to make informed health decisions for herself .

She was a firm believer of “being different is good". She believed that only you have the power to define your own destiny. So never be afraid of choosing what you want. Appreciate the life you are living because death might come and knock at your door anytime.
